Welcome Our 2027 YWCA Intern: Natalea Bain
For some time, the YWCA of The Bahamas has sought to establish a meaningful internship opportunity that would provide a young professional with the chance to become fully immersed in the life and work of the Association. We are therefore delighted to announce the appointment of Natalea Bain as the YWCA's Intern for 2027.
Throughout her internship, Natalea's portfolio of responsibilities will be developed and monitored by the YWCA's Board of Management, with oversight provided by Trustee Dr. Donna Miller and the Association's management team. This experience is designed to offer exposure to the YWCA's programs, operations, governance, and community outreach, while fostering both personal and professional growth.
Natalea graduated from the University of The Bahamas in May 2025 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, majoring in Accounting with Distinction and minoring in Spanish. During her studies, she earned a place on the President's List and graduated with an impressive cumulative GPA of 3.65 on a 4.0 scale.
Describing herself as someone with "a heart for service," Natalea is passionate about contributing meaningfully to the organizations and communities in which she is involved. She currently works as an Analyst with Deloitte & Touche and is pursuing her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Natalea enjoys crocheting, reading, and expressing her faith through liturgical dance. A scripture that has profoundly influenced her life is 2 Corinthians 12:9:
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
She notes that this verse serves as a constant reminder of God's strength and faithfulness, shaping her approach to both life and service to others.
Natalea is particularly drawn to the YWCA's genuine commitment to uplifting those in need and creating a supportive and caring community. We are pleased to welcome her to the Association and look forward to the contributions she will make during the coming year as she learns, serves, and grows alongside us.
