Galaxy Pageant International Comes to The Bahamas

At the invitation of Kadian Thomas, Mrs. Galaxy Bahamas, a few YWCA ladies were delighted to meet Amanda van Wezel, Miss Galaxy Netherlands 2026, the Director of Galaxy Netherlands, Mr. Victor and two Bahamian sisters at the British Colonial Hilton on August 4th. It was a warm and engaging visit, during which we enjoyed exchanging information about ourselves and about The Bahamas YWCA.
The two teens shared that they were thrilled to experience international pageantry, make new friends, and participate in a full week of activities.
Miss Netherlands, Amanda, spoke candidly about her ten‑year battle with depression and a suicide attempt. Now healed, she is using her platform, Yes You Can, to bring light, encouragement, and hope to others.
