YWCA Bahamas Members Visit Mount Olive Baptist Church
On April 29th, 2026, at the invitation of Sister Francisca Moss, wife of Rev. C.B. Moss, eight YWCA members attended the midday Wednesday service at Mount Olive Baptist Church on Meadow Street. They received a warm welcome from the Pastor and Mrs. Moss and enjoyed sitting in the airy sanctuary as Rev. Moss delivered a devotional and later encouraged the congregation to exercise their civic duty by voting in the upcoming General Elections.
The Moss family, including their children, enthusiastically supported several YWCA fundraisers in the 1980s, and it is a pleasure to reconnect with them as we look forward to future community service collaborations.
We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that a nearby park on Meadow Street is named in honor of Mother Frances Butler, the first President and founder of The Bahamas YWCA.
